Why did you become a personal trainer?

To help others, inspire a positive change and educate. I enjoy seeing growth in people as well as the progressive change in their strength, physical shape, overall lifestyle, self-esteem and confidence.

What do you think is the reason your clients gravitated to you?

I have a genuine concern and care for every client. I am confident and educated with strong leadership qualities both in my facility and also in my community. I believe in continuing education as well as leading by example. Overall, I educate everyone I work with to feel empowered. I also promote that small daily success will lead to larger success in our long-term goals. I provide accountability for my clients, through motivation, discipline and educated responses.

Greatest client success story.

My clients range from TV personalities to high performing sports athletes, but if I had to choose one story, it would be the one of a gentlemen I had met back in high school.

He wrote me on Facebook & asked if I had time to meet. He had been following my social media and thought I was the person he could speak too for help.

In December of 2016, we met where he gave me a hug as we shared some tears over the fact that he had been given a prognosis of 1 year to live. He told me his weight was nearing 400lbs.  His heart couldn’t handle the weight; thus, he had to have a machine to help pump blood through his heart while laying down.

I developed a custom meal plan focusing on high calories. He couldn’t handle regular exercise or resistance training, so I also put together a walking program for him.

Twenty weeks later, he had lost 55lbs! He no longer needed his heart machine. Twelve referrals later, this one story alone has helped to change so many lives; not only in his family, but that of many friends & members in our local community.

Why do you think you can rep EFX Sports like a boss? What do you love about the brand?

With my background education in marketing, I am proud to share that I have grown my 8-year business into an award-winning fitness facility that services up to 150 clients daily. My business has won 2 Best in Fitness Business Awards in 2017 & 1 in 2018.  I pride myself on being able to incorporate products into my business model.  I have built a successful brand and am always looking for ways to add value to the brand integrity.  I believe that EFX Sports will fit well with my products and services.

Why should YOU be Canada’s Top trainer?

I have a true passion for this industry. I work hard to educate my clients and staff through proper lifting techniques, the understanding of muscle isolation & muscle engagement which also allows for exercise modifications as needed.

A big part of my business is focused on offering nutrition plans, macronutrient courses, nutritional counselling and overall guidance & support to my clients as they reach their health & fitness goals.

I use time-tested methods that are science based and proven to be effective. I personalize every routine, workout and nutrition plan to match one’s lifestyle. This approach is individualized to each person’s journey. Most importantly, I make things affordable, accommodating and easy to understand for clients.

After 8 years of being consistent in business, health & fitness, I have built a community that employs many trainers, supports my own family and brings value to the community we live in!

What is your favourite EFX product and why?

My favourite EFX product is Glutamine. It speeds up my recovery time and helps to reduce muscle loss while cutting.
